Mission Statement

Senior Pilots of Central Colorado offers an opportunity for fellowship with senior men and women who share a passion for flying and aviation.

History of Our Club

Senior Pilots of Central Colorado is brand new.  The first meeting was held on February 25th, 2008.  From a survey taken at that meeting, a great time was had by all!  Our second meeting was held on March 24th.  We must be doing something right - as we had four time as many visitors as attended the first meeting!  And then - at the 3rd meeting, we had even more aviation lovers!  It's a fun time!  It's only going to get better!  In May we took a tour of the Colorado Springs Airport Tower.  It far surpassed our expectations!  See the picture page.  At the June meeting, the attendance shot up to 35 aviation lovers!  We are definitely having fun!

Our Club Founders

Senior Pilots of Central Colorado was founded by Paul Thomas, CFII and Elaine Gibbs, pilot.  Paul has been flying since he was 12 years old.  Paul now is an instructor at the Peterson Aero Club.  Elaine has been flying since 1987 and holds her instrument and commercial ratings.
